Some of the best attractions in the Northwest are within a short drive of new homes in Nampa ID. Nampa is located 20 miles west of Boise in Idaho’s famed Treasure Valley. Residents enjoy Nampa’s small-town feel and its easy access to the cities of Boise and Meridian.

Some of the most popular attractions in the Nampa area include:

Ford Idaho Arena

This is the largest sports and entertainment complex in the Pacific Northwest. It attracts major acts to the Ford Arena and Ford Amphitheater. Smaller live shows are presented in the Ford Theater. The complex is also home to Northwest’s top horse facility, the 110-acre Horse Park.

Lake Lowell

Right on the western edge of Nampa, Lake Lowell is surrounded by Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge. Here you can go fishing, swimming, hiking, and hunting, or have a picnic and play disc golf. Boating is restricted to specific areas and seasons.

Lakeview Water Park

Loaded with things to do, this 44-acre park is a great destination whether you want to play or relax. It has a pool with waterslides, a beach entry and splash pad; playgrounds; sports fields; picnic shelters; an amphitheater; and lots of walking and biking trails.

RedHawk Public Golf Course

Nampa’s public golf course is located beside Lake Lowell. It offers an 18-hole course, driving range, and putting green.

Nampa Train Depot

History and architecture buffs will want to visit this elaborate former station for the Oregon Short Line Railroad. Built in 1903, the station is now used as the headquarters for the Canyon County Historical Society. Its museum is open mostly on weekends.

Nampa Dog Park

Take your pup to this fenced park where he can enjoy the play areas, trails, and swimming pond. Comfort and safety measures include drinking fountains, trees and shelters for shade, and separate play areas for large dogs and small or senior dogs.
