A brand new library is now open near the Quartet community of homes in Meridian ID. The library incorporates state-of-the-art features to serve residents throughout North Meridian.
The Orchard Park branch of the Meridian Library District opened May 1 in the Orchard Park plaza at Linder Road and Chinden Boulevard. Designed for accessibility, the 15,000 square-foot building features a drive-up book return, 24-hour pickup of requested materials, a sensory support room for patrons with special needs, interactive space for young children to play, a storytime room, and an all-ages adaptable learning lab. Other spaces include a study room and a community room that can be reserved for meetings. Library visitors can borrow materials using self-checkout kiosks. The library will host special events, clubs, children’s programs, and more.
Library hours are Sunday 1-5 p.m., Monday through Thursday 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Orchard Park Library was built to serve the fast-growing area of North Meridian, where the Quartet community is located. Just off Black Cat Road, Quartet offers large lots and over a dozen home designs. These one and two-story homes are 1,850-2,960 square feet and have 3 or 4 bedrooms, 2-3.5 baths, and two or 3-car garages.
Quartet’s community amenities include walking paths, a pool, and a micro park with a playground. The community is close to the newly opened Owyhee High School. Shopping and dining are nearby, and it’s just a few minutes to I-84.
